I will write a book about the greatest books of all time. I'll have to do a lot of reseach and will need some friends... a book club of sorts... to help me figure out where to start.
Here is a link to 100 good ones.

ReplyDeleteis there also one like "my library"? if so, please advise
Hello fellow reader!
ReplyDeleteI recommend LibraryThing.com.
Here is my own profile there: http://www.librarything.com/profile/markrho
You can do all sorts of cool things there, such as see what other people are reading who have common interests, and you can find people who have the greatest percentage of books in their collection that yu also have. I have even corresponded with some of these people who are "matches" for me as far as books I've read.
I paid my son (12yo) six dollars an hour to enter 700+ books for me, but i had to go in myself and categorize them. That's why this is not yet fully done. I think I have marked all the Strategy books correctly, but there are a lot of religious and Christian books in my collection that I have not yet "tagged."
Also, I have not entered any fiction books in yet. I was thinking this would not be useful for professional purposes, and I have this (wrong) idea that I can separate my business and personal identity. Recently I have been reminded of the incredible amount of truth that can be embedded in fiction, so I am now committed to adding these books to my librarything identity.
WOW you have 700+ books on this site and that is without your fiction books? Can't wait to check it out. I love the idea of employing your child to do the initial entries. I have a 12 yr old boy who might also enjoy the extra income. Please do tag the religious and Christian books b/c I would be most interested in them (after the fiction). Strategy books? Not so much.
